Trio Anima
This is my trio..... we've been together for just over three years now and its probably got to be one of my favourite chamber music ensembles to play in.
We've really made this group our own and the other two are now my closest of friends. We play virtually all of our repertoire off by heart, and have enjoyed a lot of success especially considering our young ages, both as an ensemble, and as musicians.
I love playing with these guys particuarly as they always encourage me to push my limits as a musician, in terms of sounds but most importantly.... colours. Making a viola sound like a flute was one of the single most impossible things I could even imagine, but nowadays, I think I'm getting better! The opening of Debussy is the REAL test.... (check out my attempt on the listen page)
We also have Ensemble Animare, which is the Trio plus whoever we want to add into the group depending on what repertoire we want to play, be it quintets, sextets and even the Ravel septet which is on the cards for a concert in a few months time :)
